Meet Sarah Braun, our Board’s Vice President.

Lancaster, PA
Why did you choose Wellington as your home?
When Adam and I were looking to buy a home Wellington ended being the place we could afford.
What are your favorite downtown businesses to visit?
Owl Canyon, The Cakery, Thistle, Papa’s Table, Old Colorado and Soul Squared
What makes you excited to be part of the Wellington Main Street Program?
I love how much this program cares about our downtown area and making it a comfortable and fun space for our community. This town has SO much potential and having a vibrant and active downtown is essential to that.
Aside from being on the Main Street Board, how else are you involved in the community?
I’ve managed Old Colorado Brewing Co since May of 2016, along with helping to put on the Wellington Brewfest, the 0.5K Wellington Fun Run, and the Main Street Market.
If I saw you out downtown, what would you be doing?
Probably drinking beer and chasing my children around
If you had to eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Potato chips 😬
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love to knit, hence starting SarahB In Stitches, and reading.
Give one piece of advice to somebody who is new to Wellington.
Stay off of Let’s Talk Wellington and get out to local businesses to meet people.
Sarah was born and raised in a small city in Pennsylvania. She graduated with a degree in Communications from Goucher College, a small liberal arts college in Towson, MD. Sarah is the mom of two young children and has lived in Wellington with her husband and family since 2012.
After working for years in Education, with a passion for outdoor learning and ropes courses, Sarah transitioned into managing Old Colorado Brewing Company. As one of the core groups for Old Colorado, she helped to organize the Wellington Brewfest and the 0.5K Wellington Fun Run. Taking part in these activities made her realize the possibilities for Wellington and created a desire to become involved in the Main Streets Program.
