Byron White Family Memorial Ribbon Cutting

10:00 – 11:00 am
Wellington Public Library

Official ribbon cutting ceremony for the Supreme Court Justice Byron White Family Memorial & Learning Garden. Hosted by our partners at the Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce along with Carter Larsen, who organized and completed the project with help from Eagle Scout Troop 96. Join us for light refreshments and a presentation about the life and achievements of Byron “Wizzer” White.

Self-Guided Historical Tours

Enjoy self-guided tours of Wellington’s historic buildings and landmarks at your own pace. Grab a packet of information from the Wellington Main Street Program’s booth at Centennial Park of download our very own mobile app, called Distrx, to navigate the tour on your own. Our partners at the Wellington-Waverly Kiwanis Club and the Rockabilly Vixens will be dressing up as historic characters and stationed along the route!

Welly the Mammoth Meet & Greet

Meet our beloved community mascot, Welly the Wolly Mammoth! Take photos and participate in a scavenger hunt looking for Welly’s in downtown businesses.

Inflatable Yard Games

Our partners with the Town of Wellington Parks & Recreation department will provide a Park ‘N Play opportunity for families and children to enjoy, including inflatable games, yard games and the notorious blue blocks.

Cornhole Tournament

Compete in our community cornhole tournament for fun and bragging rights.

Market & Food Vendors

The Wellington Main Street Program will be offering a mini-Main Street Market preview. Attendees can browse and shop from local vendors or grab something yummy to eat from a local food truck.

Guided Historical Tour

11:30 am – 1:00 pm

Meeting Point: Intersection of Harrison Ave and First Street

Tour Leaders: Ron Sladik from Historic Larimer County and Tatanka Historical Associates. Annie Lindgren, former Executive Director of the Wellington Main Street Program and owner of Sunshine Ink.

Sk8Well Skate Swap
